Gonzalo’s dad
Bringing our son Gonzalo into the world at BMUM has been, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and moving experiences of our lives. We could not have chosen a better place. From day one we felt supported, understood and cared for with an affection that goes far beyond the professional.
The BMUM team is simply wonderful.
People with enormous vocation and an even bigger heart. Mariana, our gynaecologist, was a constant guide throughout the pregnancy, giving us security, confidence and a closeness that made us feel in the best hands. Gema, the anaesthetist who was with us throughout the birth, was a true angel: professional, attentive and deeply human, she made everything so much easier. Raquel, our midwife, was an emotional pillar, full of calm, empathy and tenderness. And Flor, in administration, was always there with a smile, resolving any question and making us feel at home.
Heartfelt thanks to Jackie and Abi for creating such a special clinic, where love, respect and professionalism can be felt in every corner.
BMUM has left a very deep mark on us. Thank you for helping us bring our little Gonzalo into the world in such a human and beautiful way.
We will always carry you in our hearts.

A 10-out-of-10 experience with the Bmum team.
From the monthly appointments with Dr Mariana and with Dr Arbués. The kindness of the midwives and the whole Bmum team throughout the pregnancy (nurse, receptionists…).
The day of the birth was a 10: the closeness, support and calm the team conveys at every moment, how they explain each step of the birth in such detail to reassure you that everything is fine, helping us with something I was terribly afraid of and giving you all the strength and reassurance you need!! Everything went wonderfully thanks to them!
Looking forward to doing it again with this amazing team, who made it a 100% positive, joyful and pain-free experience!!
Special thanks to Mariana, Rocío, Guillermo, Gemma and Violeta! 100% recommended!!
Nothing but words of gratitude!

After a very bad birth experience — a caesarean following an induction — I came to Bmum. I had some hope of finding a place where they could care for me and help make my next pregnancy and birth better.
Throughout the pregnancy the team of gynaecologists answered my questions but also calmed my fears (Rafa and Guille); they helped me at times, and even in ways, that I wasn’t aware of at the moment. The ultrasound scans with Dr Arbués are pure gold — he explains every detail with such clarity, time and care that when you leave, you want to come back!
When it comes to the birth, having an anaesthesia team also makes a huge difference to the whole experience (thank you, María Lema, for your words, your knowledge and your warmth). In general, nobody appreciates having an anaesthesia team until pain takes over — and it is absolutely key.
The midwives see you in clinic, listen to you and calm you, and then, when you go into labour, there they are. Raquel is light, vocation, feeling and joy, and she was my guide when fear and uncertainty took hold of me.
I went through 9 months of a complicated pregnancy, resigned to another caesarean, and that team of people took me by the hand (often literally) and didn’t let me sink. They guided me along the way and I was able to have a dream birth — vaginal, pain-free and with a kindness you don’t expect to find in people outside your family.
It is not just proper care, it is EXCEPTIONAL care. I can’t forget Flor, Fabi and Marta, who attend to every need with a smile; Cristina, who does blood tests and other less pleasant procedures so gently you barely notice; midwives like Blanca, who is also an IBCLC and helped me enormously with breastfeeding; and Marta, the pelvic floor physio, who deserves a review of her own to describe how she works and, above all, how she listens and encourages you when you have no strength left!
Truly, thank you to Jackie and Abi for putting these people in my path, because they have genuinely changed my life. They gave us the chance to heal the wound/trauma I had been carrying for 2 years. If anyone wants to know more, write to me and I will tell you all about it. Thank you, truly!

There are not enough stars to rate the services, the quality, the professionals and everything about Bmum. Anything good I could say would fall short. We discovered Bmum three years ago, pregnant with our first daughter, and we felt the warmth and excellent care of every single professional.
A few months ago, we chose to have the pregnancy and birth of our second daughter with them. The early stages of the pregnancy were hard and full of fears. I remember Jackie telling me at the first appointment, “here we will look after you every step of the way”, and from that day until now, with our second daughter home, they have never stopped. It has been a week since the birth and, even though it was what scared me most, I have spent this week wishing I could live that day all over again. They made everything wonderful. María, our midwife, was light on that day, the support and the voice I needed to keep going, and a week later she is still caring for us and giving us incredible advice. Gema, the anaesthetist, filled us with her smile the moment she opened the delivery room door to introduce herself, and never stopped. We had never stopped to think how essential it is to have an anaesthesia team supporting and guiding you through labour. She, her advice and the decisions we made together were key to enjoying the moment to the fullest. And what can we say about Jackie — we have no way to thank him for everything he has done for us. He was with us throughout the pregnancy, filling us with confidence and affection, stood by our side at a very hard moment, and at the birth we were lucky enough to have him with us, making it possible that today we hold our little girl in our arms and want to repeat the experience. We also want to thank all the other professionals who looked after us during the pregnancy and at the hospital — you are all unique and wonderful. If anyone has any doubt about whether to come to this centre, from our point of view we can only say that the best thing they can do is trust the great professionals here, because the human and professional quality of this centre is light years ahead of any other.
Abi and Jackie after a long but successful and beautiful birth.

I think every review of Bmum could start the same way: “There are no words”, because it is the simple truth — there are no words to express the gratitude I feel towards you. Thank you so much for supporting and caring for me during one of the most important and transformative moments of my life: the birth of my second daughter.
From the very first moment, I felt surrounded by humanity, respect and professionalism. Heartfelt thanks to Dr Lucía and Dr Mariana for their dedication and for every gesture of confidence they gave me on that day. Your presence was a beacon of calm and safety.
To my dear midwives, Diana and Raquel, I can only thank you for your gentleness, your strength and your unconditional support. You were by my side not only as professionals, but as women who understood my emotions, my fears and my joy. I felt seen, heard and held at every moment.
To my dear Raquel, as I now affectionately think of her: I will never forget her look of strength, empowerment and affection at the moment of birth — a memory that will stay in my heart forever.
To Dr Javier, who made everything so much easier and still made me believe all the effort was mine — thank you so much for your care and attention.
To Irene, who cared for me and helped me carry the pregnancy with less pain — thank you for listening to me, for sharing your positive energy and for all your affection throughout this journey.
To all the other professionals at Bmum — and there are many, even if I don’t name them one by one — thank you for creating such a warm, safe space, full of love.
As an HR professional myself, I must also congratulate you on all the excellent hires you have made. Look after them all, because they are truly special.
Bmum is not just a place where babies are born; it is a place where mothers are reborn too. Thank you for helping me be born again with my daughter in my arms.
With all my love and gratitude,
Sabrina, Fabio, Alice and your little Diana

The importance of choosing the right place.
In our case, we came from a very bad experience with the birth of our first daughter at a well-known clinic in the north of Madrid, which ended in an unnecessary caesarean, and we carried a lot of mistrust and many fears.
The personal attention, care and affection we have received at Bmum is light years from what we had experienced before and, most importantly, on the day of the birth we felt supported and safe, with a team just for us, attentive at every moment, who made everything go wonderfully. Many thanks to Violeta, Jackie and Javi for that day, and to the rest of the team, who continue to look after our son with great affection whenever we need anything.
I believe that beyond its reputation, or how lovely it may look from the outside, the professionals at Bmum are a great choice for the most important moment in any parent’s life. Keep it up!

I live in Barcelona and had heard very good things about Bmum and, in particular, about the midwife team. I wanted to prepare as well as possible during my pregnancy, so I called to ask whether they offered video or phone consultations with the midwives — and they do! And with no obligation to have my full pregnancy care there. It has been a wonderful experience: the care was a 10, with lots of up-to-date information, clear and concise explanations, tools adapted to my case and answers to all my questions. I started with Rocío García and, in the last trimester, with Diana, who explained the birth plan spectacularly well.
I could not have received better care. Thank you so much for looking after me so well, and with so much warmth and empathy. A little piece of my successful birth belongs to you too. Thank you!

We are going through our second pregnancy with them and they are wonderful. The way everyone treats you is incredible; on top of being the best professionals, their human quality is a 10. We had a little scare, and their speed and attention — at those moments when you need human support, not just medical care — were unbeatable, even though it was a weekend.
No matter when you need them, they are there, they coordinate, they put the patient first and give you the very best care from the moment you need them. We still have a way to go, and we walk it happily, knowing our little girl is in the best hands. Jackie and Manu, the gynaecologists we have been lucky to have close to us so far this pregnancy, are our Paula’s good fortune and ours — there are no better obstetric professionals nor professionals with greater human quality.
We continue by your side with complete trust, and we encourage all families and women in need of a gynaecologist to place their trust in you, without a doubt the best option there can be to feel calm and in good hands.
Thanks also to Dr Arbués, an enormous professional in every sense, who has amazed us whenever we have been lucky enough to be under his care. And to Abi because, although we have only had one consultation with her so far, she gave me more support and strength to carry on with this pregnancy than anyone else managed to give me in my first pregnancy or in this one, until she arrived with her words, her understanding and her calm. We are fortunate to have Bmum.
The 5 stars you can give fall short of what you receive from all of them at a moment as important as having a child. THANK YOU.

My experience with Bmum could not be better. After a loss, and all the support and affection they gave us, we were facing the new pregnancy with a lot of fear and uncertainty, and the warmth and support of the whole staff have been essential for us.
We have gone through the whole pregnancy with Manu (as with the previous one), and he has been an essential part of it — the affection, the support, the calm… we have felt so supported and accompanied.
With Violeta we have had most of our contact with the midwife team, and we do not have enough words of gratitude for her — so much affection, so much support… she is incredible. And for Rocío, our anaesthetist: she was with us throughout the whole birth, giving us all her support — our experience with her was wonderful.
We also saw a physio during the pregnancy, Patri, and we will now go back to her, as we are delighted with her work and her kindness. In general, our thanks to the whole BMUM team. We also booked the photography service for the newborn session… and Elvira, the photographer, could not be lovelier — such kindness, such gentleness… we were delighted. And the photos are spectacular; we loved ALL of them.
We will repeat without hesitation. Now we are starting with the paediatric area… and we are delighted, with the physios, paediatrics… you are all incredible as a team.
Thank you, Abi and Jackie, for the wonderful team you have.
We would choose you again without hesitation.

We are Bmum patients across several specialties, but this time we cannot help highlighting the wonderful work Rocío is doing with us in sleep advice.
What we valued most was having someone who would help us with respect, love and attachment towards our daughter, and that is exactly how it has been. We have gone from multiple night wakings and needing the breast to fall asleep, to full nights of sleep without having to nurse her to sleep. Turning to her has undoubtedly been a great decision.
