on the wonderful adventure of becoming a mother
And we want to do it up close, through professionalism, trust and empathy.
Our way of understanding obstetrics is based on values such as honesty, affection, respect for each woman’s own timing in her pregnancy and birth, and the ability to create an intimate, calm environment for one of the most important moments in a couple’s life.
We will be with you from the start of your pregnancy, through the birth and the postpartum period.
Our “Bmum method”
Pregnancy is a natural stage in a woman’s life. At Bmum we have developed the “Bmum method” of support throughout pregnancy and birth. For years we have been accompanying families on the wonderful adventure of becoming parents, caring for the health of the new mum and her child in an environment of trust and with quality care.
Our goal is to look after your health and your baby’s. We provide multidisciplinary care for both normal and high-risk pregnancies. We also offer specific tests to prevent and diagnose complications that may arise during pregnancy — all with closeness, trust and respect.

The birth
Few moments in a woman’s life are as special as the day she gives birth. It is the day a new stage begins and a woman fulfils her dream of becoming a mother. And we are very aware of that. We understand birth as a “natural” process in which the woman’s body sets the pace for things to happen. Our philosophy of birth care is based on supporting a dynamic labour, in a hospital setting but in an atmosphere of respect and calm.
We want to place the mother-to-be at the centre of her birth, caring for mother and child and always respecting her decisions. For us, every birth is special. Because by the time that day arrives, we have been able to build a close, trusting relationship with many couples after months of care and attention. And we want the birth to take place in a peaceful, calm environment, without noise or haste, without crowds. Only with the people who are truly needed.
We are with you at every moment

Why is it important?
We care for you at every stage of your life. From adolescence to maturity. From contraceptive advice to treatments that improve your quality of life during the menopause.
Our reference hospital for birth care is Hospital Vithas Pardo de Aravaca, where we work in coordination with the hospital team to guarantee a safe, calm and respectful environment for you and your baby.
We also work with Hospital Ruber Internacional in the Community of Madrid.
For us it is essential that the hospital be a space where we can practise empathetic, attentive and respectful medicine, with every safety guarantee for mother and newborn.
Both hospitals have neonatology services, paediatric and adult ICUs, a blood bank and all the resources needed for comprehensive care.
Our philosophy respects the needs and wishes of each woman, supporting the birth process individually and respecting each woman’s own timing.
We offer different options for pain relief, such as warm-water immersion or personalised epidural analgesia (walking epidural), always based on the most up-to-date scientific evidence.
We work with a multidisciplinary team and place the woman at the centre of her process, attending to both the clinical and the emotional side.
No. At Bmum we work with a private, personalised model of care, which allows us to guarantee the time, attention and quality of every consultation.
For patients whose insurance includes a reimbursement option, we provide the corresponding invoice so they can arrange it directly with their insurer.
At Bmum, pregnancy care is a human, personal and personalised experience. We are a solid team that works cohesively, with a shared philosophy.
Our model is based on building a real bond with each woman, offering time, listening and a multidisciplinary team that works in coordination to look after you and your baby.
We support you not only clinically but also emotionally, in an environment designed for your peace of mind, your confidence and your wellbeing.
Yes. At Bmum we believe that prenatal information and preparation help you have a better experience of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.
That is why we have developed a birth and motherhood preparation programme true to our philosophy: we place you and your family at the centre of our care and adapt to your needs.
At Bmum we offer two formats of preparation for motherhood: group and individual sessions, covering birth and the postpartum period.
Group sessions are held in small groups of approximately 8 women and their birth partners, encouraging the sharing of experiences and the resolution of common questions.
Individual sessions allow each woman’s needs to be addressed in a more intimate, personalised way. They can also be held online and in English.
Our approach combines medical knowledge with emotional, physical and practical education, so that you experience this process with confidence, security and real support.
At Bmum we understand the postpartum period as the natural continuation of pregnancy and birth. We know it is an intense stage both physically and emotionally, which is why we offer personalised follow-up adapted to each woman’s needs.
Our support can include midwife consultations, support with
breastfeeding, paediatrics, gynaecology, pelvic floor physiotherapy, psychology, nutrition, aesthetic care and physical-functional training.
We also foster networks between women through the gatherings of our “Red Madre Bmum” (Bmum Mothers’ Network), a space to share and feel supported.
We also offer the “Volverte a Ver” programme, the first multidisciplinary postpartum programme designed to care for you comprehensively (physical activity, aesthetic treatments, pelvic floor physiotherapy and nutrition) and support you through this new stage with a medical, human and personal approach.
At Bmum we believe in the importance of the doctor–patient bond. Whenever possible, we make it easy for you to choose the gynaecologist and team you feel most comfortable with throughout the whole process. At the birth, one of our midwives will be with you throughout, and our anaesthesia team will guarantee the pain relief you need at every moment, with continuous, coordinated care.
Our comprehensive breastfeeding unit supports all kinds of breastfeeding-related difficulties: pain while nursing, cracked nipples, low weight gain in the baby, difficulties with milk production and tongue-tie problems, among others.
Breastfeeding is an important part of the postpartum period, and we have a multidisciplinary breastfeeding unit. You will have a midwife who is an expert in breastfeeding as the lead professional for your journey; she will support you continuously and refer you to other professionals if needed, such as paediatrics, gynaecology, paediatric physiotherapy or ENT.
Your midwife will be your main support, following up and staying in touch via WhatsApp too, so you never feel alone at any moment.
Yes. Our midwife team is trained to perform frenectomies when this is the indicated treatment.
We perform them in clinic, with local topical anaesthetic, up to 8 weeks of age. From two months onwards, we refer to our paediatric surgery or ENT team, who usually carry out this procedure in the operating theatre.
